Yesterday we lost our beloved Mr Pikes…the pl***oy who built himself a playground! Thank you, Tony for giving us Pikes hotel…and for your vision. I feel truly blessed to have got to know the man, the legend, the pioneer.

I was honoured to be asked to write Tony’s book with him in Ibiza, the story of the craziest, naughtiest, most inspirational man I’ve ever met. A truly hilarious, emotional, outrageous and eye-opening experience.

We started working on the book in Santa Eulalia in the winter of 2017, and spent a lot of time in various bars down at the marina. I remember Tony chatting to a couple of elderly ladies from Yorkshire there one day. He made their day, telling them stories about his time as Mr Winston in the 1960s and being shipwrecked with his model girlfriend in the Bermuda Triangle in the ’70s… then left them open-mouthed when he said: “anyway, girls, none of us have got long left…fancy a threesome?” I could still hear them roaring with laughter as we toddled off back down the promenade.

Thankfully, Tony did have a couple more years left of a life lived to the absolute fullest. For innovation, style, charisma and sheer hedonism, he will never be matched.
Tony Pike, you absolutely smashed it! Rest in peace, mate…
