I had a very interesting chat with Hanny Newton about her transition away from using metal to create her work to using straw - wheat and rye straw as a sustainable ‘natural gold’. The final pieces as wonderful as the experimental work on the frames.

Gorgeous chatting to Emma, AKA Hello Ditto at Future Icons. I had a lovely chat about Emma’s ceramic work, and how the slip cast pieces displayed were created by using a plaster mould made up of sections which were added, subtracted and rearranged to amazing effect. A collection of vessels that are gorgeous and interesting in equal measure! The show is on until the 21st so pop in and see them for yourself. Emma is in good company with a multitude of other creatives and craftspeople!

Last stop of the day at Clerkenwell Design Week - Lightmass designed by Raw Edges.
Each light sculpturep is crafted from a single material to reduce waste and let form lead and is 3d printed, mesh like and gorgeous!

Stunning library, not sure I would get much reading done, it’s all so gorgeous, changing in the light, I wonder what it looks like in the dark? It reminds of of my grandma when she used to ice wedding cakes, layers and colours 😍

Artwork at the Chancery: Study, entrance console with a touch of gilding, a portrait from the public area, suite lounge, study, console, the beautiful atrium light installation, lift console and the bedroom artwork, gorgeous!

Suite bathrooms! Always a large part of the budget, there are a few design moments that define the suite designs; look for the vertical triangular marble pieces that start and stop at particular moments, this tool is used in the rest of the suite and feeds into the ceiling details.

Serra at The Chancery Rosewood What a gorgeous private dining room!

I love the scarf ring, present your favourite, why have it in a drawer, curate your look around it. The Chancery has such an amazing art collection and I love that you can include your own in the walk in wardrobe

We did end our tour of the Chancery Rosewood in the Eagle bar but passed through the Tobi Masa. Three Michelin-starred - chef Masayoshi Takayama’s new location in Mayfair. Tobi - meaning “to fly”, other venues include , and in NYC. A tour doesn’t include a taste so I will have to pop back for a Japanese lunch £55 for three courses… The restaurant and hotel as a whole has a timeless feel, extremely high level of finish and detailing, it’s very impressive.

The Chancery Rosewood Spa…. Tall ceilings, light, we had a look around the gym and pool, guests present so no pics but all areas were so relaxing, the scent was divine - also the biggest pool in Mayfair! interiordesign
