Sustainability isn't a trend anymore, it's a sourcing requirement. On Threadify, you can find suppliers working with bio-based fabrics like:
PLA (Poly-Lactic Acid) — made from renewable plant sources like corn starch, biodegradable and low-carbon.
Tencel — wood-pulp based, known for softness, breathability, and closed-loop production.
SORONA — partly plant-derived, durable, and a lower-emission alternative to conventional synthetics.

40% to 60% of prototype styles are dropped during the sampling stage.
Design iteration, fit testing, buyer showroom rounds, every stage drops more prototypes. Physical sampling adds to the largest sources of pre-production waste while taking 4 to 8 weeks and eating into material budgets.
Digital sampling is changing that math, cutting costs by 70% to 90%. Which means, more resources are going toward styles that actually ship.

Last Saturday was all about creativity at the Threadify Fashion Complex.
Families participating in the Threadify’s ‘Parent-Child Craft Workshop’ explored our Fabric and Accessories Supermarket, picked their favorite materials, and hand-made their own patchwork bags with guidance from our instructors.

Nearly 200 faculty and students from Shaoxing University's College of Textile Science and Engineering spent the day at Threadify in Keqiao.
They walked our fabric and accessories supermarket, touched thousands of fabrics across sportswear, loungewear, knitwear and outerwear, and saw how 18,000+ products come together on one sourcing platform.
Grateful to host the next generation of textile talent and looking forward to more industry-academia visits ahead.

On July 1st, Threadify Fashion Complex welcomed international students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia and Myanmar into its Keqiao base.
Across the 10,000+ sqm space of ‘Threadify Fashion Complex’, they explored our fabric and accessories supermarket, scanned smart tags to see 3D garment renderings in real time, walked through live global trade data, and got hands-on with thousands of samples in our designer co-working space.
This is what industry-academia collaboration looks like, and we are just getting started. More institutions, more exchange, more hands-on learning ahead.
