Rakhi

Raksha Bandhan - 9th August 2025

It’s not just a cotton thread. It symbolises an unbreakable bond between brother & sister - you laugh together, learn together, fight with each other, may even live on different continents - but the love you have for each other is never lost.

Don’t forget to grab your downloadable Rakhi Making guide available on the Etsy Shop (link in bio) if you fancy trying your hand at a little rakhi crafting.

Raksha Bandhan

I decided to take a little break this year from orders so I am honestly so grateful for regular customers who got in touch earlier this year to get thise orders in.

THANK YOU❤️ Your continued means to absolute world.

Every year I make over 150 of these gorgeous rakhis and I love seeing them adorned on the brothers. But this year I have taken a little step back, making the most of evenings with family and friends and having a moment to myself.

Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. The term “Raksha Bandhan” literally translates to “the bond of protection” or “the tie of protection.”
During Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a decorative thread, called a “rakhi,” around the wrist of their brothers as a symbol of love, protection, and goodwill. In return, brothers give gifts or monetary presents to their sisters as a token of their affection.
It’s a bit like Siblings Day and signifies the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, emphasizes the importance of protection, love, and support, and promotes harmony and unity among individuals.

HELLO LITTLE ONE

The traditional Hindu calendar {Panchang} is based on the lunar calendar and incorporates various astronomical and astrological factors to provide information about auspicious and inauspicious times, festivals, and other important events.

This gorgeous personalised print makes a wonderful keepsake to celebrate the birth of your little one. It’s definitely becoming one of my fave personalised Indian baby gifts.
