Establish your very own sustainable eco-system with our virtual or in-person workshop by creating a “jarden” - living garden in a jar! Our expert jardeners will be on hand to advise on planting techniques, how to build each layer and how to look after the terrarium afterwards so that the plants can thrive and eventually take care of themselves. Under the right conditions, a perfectly balanced closed terrarium could last a lifetime, making them a much more eco-friendly alternative to cut flowers. Or perhaps have a go at an open terrarium for cacti by upcycling old jam jars, bottles and glasses into a sand art desert scene.

Last week saw the return of in-person networking for MASK. It was exciting to have the chance to gather face to face with other industry professionals and suppliers, to discuss our views and experiences from the past year and look forward to the months ahead.

A huge thank you to Sam Gill and Mike Kershaw for hosting such a fabulous event and giving us the opportunity to get together again. Not forgetting Skylight at To***co Dock Venue LTD and Sunborn London Hotel for their fantastic hospitality!

In our fun, hands-on workshop, guests make their very own cozy bird or bat house to provide a safe space to shelter in the winter and breed in the spring.

Nest boxes are becoming vital for breeding birds and bats. Due to tidier gardens and woodland areas, and modern buildings with fewer nooks and crannies, many will struggle to find a suitable nesting site for the breeding season. The population of some bird species has decreased and the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is now calling for homeowners to put up more nest boxes for our Great British wildlife.
