Colourful Semantics meets Bluey!
We love bringing favourite characters into therapy because the activity becomes motivating and familiar and children engage in their learning.
We are using Colourful Semantics to help children build longer sentences by breaking them down into different parts:
Who? Bluey
Doing what? is reading What? a book
Where? in the bedroom
^Bluey is reading a book in the bedroom.!"
Colourful Semantics uses colour-coded visual prompts to make sentence structure more concrete. We can start with shorter Subject + Verb + Object (SVO) sentences and gradually add more information, such as where something is happening.
