Feeling stuck in career quicksand?
You're not alone, and you're definitely not powerless.
Career resilience = your secret weapon.
It's about adapting, growing and thriving (yes, even during chaos).
Here's how to future-proof like the powerhouse you are.
- Upskill like a boss - become a skills ninja.
- Brag better - polish that CV & LinkedIn like your next move depends on it (as it might).
- Own your superpowers - confidence = clarity, not arrogance.
- Network smart - It's not just who you know, it's who knows YOU.
- Be the CEO of your own career - stay visible, stay ready.
Your next opportunity isn't luck, it's strategy.

Which of these moves are you already making?

Want to lead with power? Start by switching off. Yes, you can sleep your way to the top.
No sleaze. Just strategy.

Sleep fuels clarity, confidence, leadership presence.

It's not a luxury. It's your edge.
-sharpens your thinking
-Boosts your mood and energy
-makes you look and feel like a leader.

So, if you’re ambitious, exhausted and still saying, "I'll sleep when I'm successful", flip that.
-Sleep because you're successful
-Sleep to stay successful
-Sleep like your future depends on it, because it does.

What's your bedtime routine? Or is sleep your biggest self-sabotage?

It's a cosmic mystery how someone can enter your life unexpectedly and inspire you to reach a higher level. That was Sue's impact on me. Having met during the first week of uni many years ago we remained close until her passing 3 weeks ago. And what a phenomenal leader! Her final contribution to her profession, (social work), and to the world, was her creation and national roll-out of the Family Safeguarding Model, designed to improve practice and outcomes for vulnerable children and families. Here she is in May 2024, having just been awarded Outstanding Contribution to Social Work. Today, she'll be laid to rest.
Losing a bestie who has shaped your life in many ways is devastating, akin to losing a family member. Words can't explain how much I'll miss her.
RIP, Sue. I'll never ever forget you and I'll never stop appreciating how much you gave me.

Don't you just love meeting up with old friends, especially when that friend has spent the last 7 years sailing around the world? So much to share. So much to reminisce on. What a lunch!
