The wines we'll be sipping on repeat this summer 🌞
As a company that creates custom wine tours, it's no surprise that our team spend plenty of time sampling exceptional bottles! Introducing our 'By the Glass' series - a monthly selection of our team's favourite wines.
With the heatwave hitting London this past week, we've turned our attention to lighter tipples. Crisp, citrus-led whites and chilled rosés are the wines that shine when temperatures soar - refreshing, vibrant and best enjoyed al fresco with something seasonal on the table 🍽️🍾
As the days grow warmer and summer edges closer, we've compiled a selection of our team's summer favourites. Keep scrolling to discover our top picks and save this post for future wine inspiration!

The ultimate countryside escape near Paris: Domaine de Primard 🌿✨
Located just an hour from Paris, Domaine de Primard is a countryside sanctuary set across 40 hectares. Once an 18th-century château, the property has been transformed by the owners of the Domaine de Fontenille group into a magnificent five-star retreat. The rooms marry 18th-century bones (wood beams, Juliet balconies and parquet flooring) with modern furnishings, for a refined and restful feel.
Surrounded by nature at every turn, the gardens feature over 250 varieties of roses, while highland cows, ducks and geese can be found wandering through the grounds. Days here can be spent indulging in nature-inspired spa treatments, enjoying riverside yoga classes, strolling the vast gardens, and lounging by the heated pool.
Wine lovers can sample wines from the hotel's Domaine de Fontenille vineyards, while various Champagne vintages are served at a guinguette overlooking the river - prime position for enjoying sundowners and live music.
With farm-to-table dining and menus crafted by Michelin-star chef Éric Fréchon, a stay at Domaine de Primard pairs perfectly with wine tasting holidays to Normandy and Paris 🍷

Our favourite coastal wine regions for the perfect summer escape 🌊🍷
Is there anything better than sipping a crisp, chilled glass of wine by the sea? From the ocean breeze to the sun-drenched vineyards, coastal wine regions possess a certain magic.
It’s the blend of maritime climate, coastal terroir, and centuries-old winemaking traditions that makes these destinations so special. We’re convinced: wine tastes different when the sea is in sight.
This summer, we’re following the coast to explore some of Europe’s most iconic wine destinations: the truffle-rich hills of Istria, Sicily’s volcanic vineyards, and the clifftop wineries of Santorini.
Discover our favourite coastal wine regions and let us know below where is calling your name this summer ✈️🍇

✨ A must-do in Florence for wine lovers ✨
Hidden in plain sight, Florence’s wine windows (buchette del vino) date back to the 1500s, when these small arched openings allowed producers to sell directly to locals and circumvent merchant taxes.
Today, many of these historic gems have been lovingly restored, offering a charming glimpse into the city's past. You can still order a glass of wine (or an Aperol Spritz) through a number of these tiny medieval windows - just as Florentines did over 500 years ago.
Each wine window was individually crafted, meaning no two are exactly alike. Why not turn it into a pre-dinner 'wine window crawl' and discover a few along the way?
Simply ring the bell, place your order, and watch as your drink appears through the opening. For a true taste of Tuscan tradition, they're the perfect addition to any Italy itinerary and one of the most unique things to do in Florence 🍷🍇
Save this for your next trip to Florence, or speak to our Travel Designers about weaving these historic treasures into your Tuscany itinerary.
A few of our favourite wine windows in Florence include:
📍 La Tenda Rossa (Wine Window Signoria)
📍 La Buchetta Food & Wine
📍 De'Bardi Enoteca Buchetta del Vino
📍 Wine Window Santa Croce, Borgo dei Greci
📍 Cantina De’ Pucci
