Next up in the employee spotlight is Callum Pease.

How long have you worked at Walpole Partnership?
It’ll be one year this November.

What’s your role at Walpole Partnership?
I’m a Consultant at Walpole Partnership, specialising in CPQ and billing solution implementations. I work closely with customers to understand their unique business requirements and identify how CPQ and or billing solutions can deliver the greatest value. I’ve also carried out configuration work across several of the systems we support.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
My career aspirations changed quite a lot while I was growing up, but they were usually focused on either technology or aviation.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Professionally, my greatest achievement was delivering a large-scale, cross-platform architecture integration using AWS Graviton (ARM64) alongside Intel and AMD-based systems. It was a fun technical challenge and a successful proof of concept for running services more cost-effectively at scale.

What can you be found doing in your spare time?
Working on personal technology projects, helping people solve technical problems, fixing my own or my friends’ cars, and gaming.

What one skill would you love to have or learn?
I’d love to become fluent in other languages. I’m currently attempting to learn one, although it’s still a work in progress.

If you could time travel, where would you go?
Going backwards, I’d probably travel to 1969. It was an extraordinary year: Concorde and the Boeing 747 had their first test flights, the Harrier entered RAF service, humans landed on the Moon, and the first message was sent over ARPANET. Going forwards, I’d like to see whether and when practical quantum computing is achieved, and what effects it has on humanity.

What one thing really annoys you?
People who refuse to learn how to use technology. There’s a big difference between genuinely struggling to understand something and simply being unwilling to learn.

What is your favourite film of all time?
It's hard to pick from but I'd probably say Heat. It has some absolutely brilliant lines and great acting.

Sweet or savoury?
I’d probably lean towards sweet, although it really depends on the situation. That said, it’s hard to beat a cold, sweet treat.

Choosing the right CPQ is not about choosing the biggest feature list, it's about choosing the platform that best fits the way you sell and the commercial outcomes you need to achieve.

At Walpole Partnership, we take a CPQ-first Opportunity-to-Cash approach. We prepare to establish a dependable foundation for product configuration, pricing, quoting and approvals, then connect it to contracting, order management and the wider revenue lifecycle.

For some organisations, Conga Smart CPQ (PROS B2B) is the right fit, particularly where advanced pricing, price guidance and complex commercial models sit at the heart of the sales motion.

For others, Conga Advantage CPQ is the better starting point - supporting sophisticated configuration, guided selling, pricing and approval processes for complex sales environments.

The important question is not “which CPQ is best?”, it's: “which CPQ will help our teams sell accurately, protect margin, move faster and scale with confidence?”

Walpole brings a distinctive perspective here. We partnered with both Conga and PROS B2B – across Pricing and CPQ – before the two organisations came together. Today, we continue that relationship with the wider Conga organisation, working across both Smart CPQ and Advantage CPQ. That means we can help businesses look beyond a technology selection exercise and design the right solution architecture, from pricing strategy and product rules through to quoting, contracting, document automation and ex*****on.

The combined Conga organisation brings exciting potential across the journey from price to signature, and we're are looking forward to sharing more combined thought leadership and events in the coming months.

Walpole Partnership's very own Alexandra Yates attended 'Going Far Together: Women and Inclusive AI' at the Salesforce AI Centre in London earlier this week.

Hosted by WISE UK (Women in Solution Excellence), the afternoon brought together an inspiring group of speakers and attendees to explore how AI can be developed and adopted in ways that are inclusive, accessible and responsible.

From Amy Low, CEO of AbilityNet, discussing the human impact of digital exclusion, to the Women Leading AI panel, moderated by Joe Thompson, and practical sessions exploring how AI can support people both personally and professionally, there was plenty of thought-provoking discussion.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in the technologies and business processes we work with, conversations around accessibility, inclusion and responsible adoption are more important than ever.

Thank you to WISE UK, Salesforce, hedgehog lab, Supermums and everyone involved in putting together such an interesting and valuable afternoon.

Thank you to Luca Cavenaghi and the Oracle France team for a very energising Oracle Applications Partner FY27 Kick-off Roadshow in Paris last week.

The opportunity is clear - combine Oracle technology with the reach, expertise and agility of committed partners with laser focus on ex*****on.

Walpole Partnership is grateful and enthusiastic to be part of Oracle’s Partner Fast Track programme. Together, we are focused on generating joint, partner-led opportunities and making the right marketing investments to support a collaborative route to market.

For the Mid-Market (MM) growth segments, that means bringing the value of Oracle Fusion CPQ & Subscription Management to customers with a proposition built for speed, simplicity and predictable outcomes, and helping ambitious organisations modernise how they configure, price, sell and manage recurring revenue.

We look forward to working closely with the Oracle team and fellow partners in the MM Community to turn this momentum into meaningful customer impact.

We’re proud to celebrate another significant milestone in a major European Quote-to-Order (Q2O) transformation programme for a global crop nutrition and agricultural solutions company.

Working alongside the customer team, Walpole Partnership has helped bring together Salesforce, Conga Smart CPQ (PROS) and integrated processes to support a more connected Q2O experience across its European operations.

Following successful initial go-lives, another major European market is now live, marking an important step forward in the programme’s phased expansion.

Go-live is never simply a technology milestone. It reflects the work of a committed, collaborative team: designing the right processes, navigating complexity and supporting adoption where it matters most.

Thank you to everyone across the customer, Walpole and wider delivery teams who has contributed to reaching this point. We’re excited for what comes next.

AI agents are only as useful as the context they can access. Oracle’s Content Intelligence capability in AI Agent Studio brings together structured, unstructured, transactional and conversational data, helping agents find the right information and produce more relevant, reliable responses.

The real opportunity is not simply adding more AI. It’s connecting trusted enterprise knowledge with the workflows where decisions are made.

With hybrid search, role-based security and governed content management, organisations can give agents the context to help teams resolve issues faster, improve decision-making and reduce manual effort.

At Walpole Partnership, we see this as an important step towards AI that is genuinely useful: grounded in the right information, aligned with business processes and governed responsibly.

It's great to be working with Fudgelearn, an Oracle training organisation, to bring together two complementary areas of expertise:
1) Fudgelearn’s Oracle training capability and Oracle University knowledge
2) Walpole Partnership’s specialist experience in Oracle CPQ, Subscription Management and Opportunity-to-Cash

The objective is simple - turn Oracle product knowledge into practical, role-based training that reflects how end users actually work.

As organisations adopt and expand their use of Oracle Fusion, effective training needs to go beyond explaining functionality. Users need to understand how Fusion supports their day-to-day quoting, subscription and wider Opportunity-to-Cash processes.

By combining Fudgelearn’s training expertise with Walpole Partnership’s CPQ and Subscription Management experience, we can help joint customers bridge that gap, taking Oracle learning content and turning it into customer-specific, process-led end-user training.

Technology enables the process. Training makes it work in practice.

The Nucleus Research CPQ Technology Value Matrix is another useful reminder that CPQ remains a critical technology choice, but the bigger question is what happens before and after the quote.

At Walpole Partnership, we increasingly look through a CPQ-first Revenue Lifecycle Management lens, because CPQ sits at a pivotal point in the Opportunity-to-Cash cycle. It is where commercial intent becomes an executable transaction, connecting opportunity, product and pricing strategy with contracting, ordering, fulfilment, billing and ultimately revenue.

And that means selecting a strong CPQ platform is a critical part of the answer.
Before choosing or transforming technology, organisations need to understand:
- Where does the current Opportunity-to-Cash process actually break down?
- Which capabilities belong in CRM, CPQ, CLM, Order Management, Billing?
- Where are manual interventions masking process or architecture problems?
- What could be standardised and what genuinely requires use case specific setup?
- Which platform and architecture choices will support the next stage of growth?

That is exactly the thinking behind Walpole's 'Prepare' offer. 'Prepare' before you implement.

We guide organisations to validate the business-process, capability, data and architecture foundations for Revenue Lifecycle Management using CPQ as a natural anchor within the wider Opportunity-to-Cash landscape. The result is not simply a CPQ requirements document. It is a clear view of what needs to change, why, where it belongs and what should happen next before committing significant time and money to technology and implementation.

The Nucleus matrix is a useful view of an increasingly interesting CPQ market. The next question for buyers should not just be which CPQ is right for us, but more importantly: are we actually ready to make the next technology decision?

Drop us a line if you want to start a conversation that can help you to start answering those questions, so you can properly 'Prepare' before you implement CPQ.

Oracle Fusion CPQ and AI will do more than speed up quoting. Together, they can improve configuration accuracy, strengthen pricing discipline, streamline approvals and connect the full opportunity-to-cash process.

The technical value is not just automation. It is better data use, stronger governance, lower margin leakage and more consistent selling decisions. But AI is only as strong as the foundation behind it - clean product and pricing data, clear rules, connected systems and user trust.

The key question is not where to add AI. It is where your CPQ process is creating friction, delay or risk. That is where Oracle Fusion CPQ can make the biggest difference.
