In her artist statement, Ruby shares that her collages “examine contemporary life through the female gaze, subjectively documenting the human experience. Electric colours and surreal compositions are meant to disorientate the audience; they are in control of their meaning and the observer is duty-bound to decode it on their terms.”

Illustrations by Aika Cherdabayeva for Mia Passmore’s beautiful submission ‘My Community of Girls’ in our Issue02 rebuild 🫶🏼

In Mia’s feature she shares how her female friends helped her heal from a painful breakup through the power of sisterhood and community.

Issue02.20 is coming along beautifully thanks to all of the incredible graphic designers who have been helping me rebuild it after my laptop crashed and we lost everything. Excited to share more along the way!
