Eid al-Adha, known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," commemorates one of the most profound stories in Islamic tradition - the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his beloved son in obedience to Allah's command. when Ibrahim received a divine command in a dream to sacrifice his son Ismael. This was an extraordinary test of faith, as Ibrahim loved his son dearly and had waited many years to have a child.
Ibrahim shared this divine vision with his son Ismael, who remarkably accepted. At the crucial moment, Allah provided a ram to be sacrificed instead of Ismael, as mentioned in the Quranic verse "And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice"
The festival “Eid Al-Adha” emphasizes themes of faith, sacrifice, obedience to divine will, and the importance of being willing to give up what we hold most dear in service to Allah.
