Throughout the journey of creating and building The Basque Bakehouse, I've done a lot of market research and tried Basque cheesecakes from many different places.
Having experienced both the Spanish style (the birthplace of the Basque cheesecake) and the popular Turkish interpretation, I finally got the chance to try the original Basque cheesecake from La Viña.
I absolutely loved it. Having tasted the original, I'm even more proud of what we've created at The Basque Bakehouse. Tasting it gave me a true benchmark and reinforced the belief that we're doing something special.
A special thank you to my sister-in-law, who picked this up for me while she was on holiday and made a special delivery to bring this experience home for me 💜
