The Windows Project

The Windows Project is a charitable trust, which was founded by Dave Ward and Dave Calder in 1976. Its main aim is to promote creativity through writing, enabling people to diffuse their knowledge and appreciation of language as a creative medium. The Windows Project is about helping people to start writing poetry, through providing support and advice to people of all ages and abilities. The trust, and its many poets and writers, adopted a games-based approach, allowing them to make poetry-writing fun. Since it began, the Windows Project has been involved in the running of many workshops for play schemes, schools, youth clubs, colleges and day centres for the elderly or disabled.
