Turning Point Leeds

Sometimes the staff take the races too seriously! 🙄

KS3 pupils learning fire and bush craft skills

Today Bruno has taken the pupils back to Leeds Activity Centre. Penny was given the day off! 😃

🌊🚣‍♀️ We’re here today! 🚣‍♂️🌊

Today we are enjoying a fantastic day out at Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre in Yeadon! ☀️

It’s not just about having fun, activities like these give our young people the opportunity to:

💪 Build confidence and self-belief
🤝 Develop teamwork and communication skills
🧠 Challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zones
🎯 Experience success and achieve something new
🌱 Develop resilience, independence and problem-solving skills
😊 Build positive relationships and create great memories
🌊 Try new activities in a supportive and positive environment

For many of our young people, experiences like this can help them recognise what they can do, build trust in themselves and others, and feel proud of their achievements.

A brilliant day of learning, growing and having fun outside the classroom! 💙

As another pupil returns to her host school, we received this lovely message from her mum:

"Morning, thanks for everything you've done for my daughter, her class chart is full of positive comments on Friday!"

So lovely to see, wishing her all the best back at school!

Annnnddddd…..we are back! 😍

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is seeing the impact it has on the whole family, not just the child.

Messages like this remind us why we do what we do:

“You guys have been awesome, and I’ve felt so much more relaxed over the last five weeks. Thank you for everything you’ve done, it’s made such a positive difference to our family.” ❤️

Oh…..hello Penny! 😍 🃏

Rumours have been flying around TPL this week that it’s hot… ☀️

They’re not wrong.

More importantly though, our children have had a brilliant week. They’ve worked hard, supported each other and given us plenty to be proud of.

Have a great weekend everyone! 👏

Best way to start the day….It’s not just cards, it’s the way we build positive relationships!
Happy Friday all! 🥳
