๐ฌ Nearly two decades of developing stories, and Kate O'Hara is just getting started on her next chapter.
We're proud to support the Yorkshire cohort of the Women in Film and TV (UK) 2026 Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, alongside our Screen Alliance North partners. The scheme gives mid-career women in film, TV, and creative media the opportunity to accelerate their careers , and we've been speaking to this year's Yorkshire mentees about what it means to them.
Based in Sheffield, Kate O' Hara has worked across scripted TV and feature film, played a part in the development of God's Own Country, and is now using the programme to reconnect, reflect, and plan what comes next.

โ๏ธ From the edit suite to the director's chair.
We're proud to support the Yorkshire cohort of the Women in Film and TV (UK) 2026 Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, alongside our Screen Alliance North partners.
Designed for mid-career women in film, TV, and creative media, the scheme is accelerating careers in an industry where women remain underrepresented in leadership roles, and this year we sat down with the Yorkshire mentees to hear their stories.
Meet Dawn Feather.
With 20+ years across editing, producing, and directing, Dawn is using the programme to take a bold next step: getting her own projects commissioned and moving firmly into the director's chair.

Thatโs a wrap on the inaugural Local Landscapes, Global Horizons programme!
Over the past nine weeks, ten producers and their creative teams from across the UK have taken part in an intensive development and market strategy programme designed to help transform regional stories into globally resonant feature films.
The programme concluded yesterday in London with a final industry showcase, where participants pitched their projects to invited industry professionals following weeks of bespoke mentoring, market insight sessions, and project development support.
From bold genre concepts to intimate character-led dramas, the selected projects reflected the breadth of storytelling emerging across the UK, all rooted in authentic regional voices while exploring international audience potential.
A huge congratulations to all of the producers and their creative teams who took part in the programme. It has been a privilege to support these exciting projects and creatives as they develop their next steps.
Thank you to all of our mentors, speakers, industry guests, and partners who shared their expertise throughout the programme.
And a special thank you to the , awarding National Lottery funding through the Creative Challenge Fund, for supporting this inaugural programme and helping us invest in the future of UK independent film development.
