Overnight roadworks will take place on the only road into and out of Plockton from Monday 29th September – Saturday 4th October (10pm–6am).

🚗 Please be aware that guests arriving after 10pm by car will not be able to access the village during these hours.
🎶 Plockton Inn’s live music on Thursday 4th October will also be cancelled, as the musicians are unable to travel home.

Computer models are starting to favour a more southerly track for the intense storm that will affect us later Friday and into the weekend, the exact path will not become clear for the next couple of days and will have a big impact on wind strength and impact.

Personally i still thinik that path will be a little further north with the centre crossing the Western Isles, the north mainland and through the Northern Isles to be sat to the north of Shetland by noon on Saturday - time will tell.

This is ex Hurricane Humberto which will undergo what is known as 'explosive cyclogensis' in the Atantic through Friday, developing into what will become our first major named storm of the season, Storm Amy.

As it stands today - this will bring very strong winds and heavy rain with a risk of travel and power disruption, falling trees, flying debris and damage to property.

I don't over hype things as you know, but this needs to be watched.

I came home to begin again.

I left behind my beloved friends in my beloved New Forest.
I left a toxic marriage.
I left everything I thought I was.

It wasn’t easy. Door after door closed as I searched for a home. There were moments I thought I had made the wrong decision.

And then, in meditation, the lightning bolt came.
A vision.
A reminder of a circle I had sat in eight years earlier with wise women — women who had seen me, held me, walked beside me.

I saw a healing centre from outer space, lit through the Aurora Borealis.
“You must do “ one said-
“I will - promise” I said .

It was time- to create a space to be held and Heal
The very next day, I found this place.

I wrote a letter from my heart, explaining that I was here to fulfil my purpose. To create a sanctuary for people to come home to themselves, to heal at the deepest level.

And so I began.

I poured my own healing journey, my heart, my soul into this place.
This land carried me home to myself.
This is where the alchemy happens.
This is where I teach you how to rise from the ashes.

They say you create what you once needed. And it’s true.
I never set out to build a retreat centre in the Highlands — but life burned everything I thought I was to the ground.
And from those ashes, I rebuilt myself
🌌 Aurora Borealis Highland Retreat is not just a place.
It is a sacred temple.
A sanctuary.
My home, now your healing space.
