A tough race today with a P7 finish
Just a bad race and one of them days was Holly's words after it, just couldn't get into any rhythm or had the feel of the kart today which isn't like her.
Holly started in 4th and made a good start and held it for a good few laps but wasn't hitting apex's and just not carrying speed through corners and we could see her getting frustrated in the seat, she chipped away and tried fighting where she could but just not at the races today.
On to the next round

Tough race yesterday with an 8th place finish, wasn't feeling well on the way up and still felt unwell before the race we advised her not to get suited up and just sit it out but anyone that knows Holly knows that's not gonna happen.
She started off in 3rd and kept that place easily for the first part of the race and was rapidly catching the front two with the top three matching lap times the whole way to the half way point of the race, she ended up right on the second place kart following tightly and tried a risky move round the outside of a tight corner which he fairly defended to push her out to the barriers causing her to spin and end up in last place.
She fought back from last to 8th at the chequered flag, was annoyed at herself for her mistake and felt pretty dizzy and pale so an early night and all forgot about this morning ready to go again.

Round 2 and Second podium of the season
In her own words - one of her best ever races.
Conditions were strange the fact it had been raining in the morning but dried up before the race so was a mixture of dry and damp on track.
Holly started 6th on the grid and made a great start avoiding any contact in the first few laps as everyone was fighting for position, within the first 8 laps she made her way up to 4th with some really clever overtakes, but the leaders had broke away from the pack and were having their own race out in front with Holly being half a lap behind them as a result of fighting to get up to 4th.
She now had clear air and started putting in fastest lap after fastest lap and we could visibly see the gap coming down each lap to the karts in front, she was relentless and sized up the 3rd place over a few laps to see where she was stronger and where he was losing time and made a great overtake onto the back straight, the next few laps were about defending and keeping her 3rd place.
Once she had a slight gap to the kart behind she reset and started again with the same process of pumping in fastest laps and closing the gap in front, he was defending hard and really wanting to hold on to that second place but again she followed closely over a few laps to suss him out and made a great move at the same spot but they were wheel to wheel all the way up the straight but Holly held the racing line forcing him out wide and secured her 2nd place.
The rest of the laps were a stale mate where she and the leader were putting in identical lap times so unable to advance.
From P6 to P2 with great pace, no mistakes, and clever driving

2026 SEASON OPENER
Long closed season as February and March practice sessions were cancelled due to weather so not been in the seat since September.
ROUND 1
We picked Holly up from a sleep over like a burst baw to head to Knockhill, perfect driving conditions today and a full grid for the first race of the season and same format this year where you draw your start position from a hat, unfortunately Holly pulled the very last spot on the grid so started dead last.
She made a great start and had three overtakes done by the end of lap one, she found her pace right away and didn't take any time in using all the grip available with the sticky tyres with the hot track, she picked off at least 1 in front on all her next few laps, then the field started to spread out but Holly had 4 fastest laps in a row and was flying.
An accident brought out the yellow flags and bunched the whole field back up together again for a few laps, when that cleared she went on maximum attack and times her overtakes brilliantly to the point she got up to fourth where she stayed for a good bit but was taking a few tenths a lap off the guy in front then with only a few laps to go sent a great move onto the back straight and defended it brilliantly up to the final corner where she extended her lead before the checkered flag.........So from last place to the podium with a 3rd place finish and a perfect race with zero mistakes and some great driving it was an ideal start to the season.
