Thank you to Sarah Robertson M.CLDSC and YouthLink Scotland for creating this case study showing the impact that Growing2gethers' Nursery Mentoring programme has on the teenagers and children, as well as the integral collaboration and partnership working with schools and youth work teams who help make this all happen. A special thanks to Tim Frew and Gill Gracie for putting us forward for this case study.
#youthwork #mentalhealth #volunteering #educationneedsyouthwork #wellbeing #youthvip | Sarah Robertson M.CLDSC It was lovely to work alongside Gavin Morgan to create a case study that brings to life the impact of volunteering and youth work. Spending time understanding this work reminded me why I care so deeply about youth work in the first place. When it’s done well, especially in partnership with schools...

We’re thrilled to announce we have received funding from the SSEN Transmission Regional Fund!
Over two years, this will enable Growing2gether to reach 8 deprived communities in Inverness, Alness, Elgin and Aberdeen.
It will build the mental health, life skills and qualifications of 240 young people facing disadvantage, and create leaders who contribute positively to their communities. ‘We know that when young people find their voice and come together, they don’t just build a community – they become the force that transforms it.’ Gavin Morgan, Co-CEO, Growing2gether.
Thank you SSEN Transmission!

A big thank you 🙏 for raising over £5,500 so far – and we have £25,000 to go. ‘Helping children in nursery helped me to find skills I never knew I had... I would never have got the chance to improve myself to become who I am now.’ – John
Our work to build mental health and wellbeing has a powerful impact on young lives – but a funding delay means we are battling to prevent cuts to our devoted team, and our highly effective programmes.
Please help support the young people who will rewrite Scotland’s future!

UPDATE: Urgent funding appeal We’ve been so moved by the response to our urgent funding appeal. Thank you for your large donations, as well as the smaller, personal ones from people touched by the work we do for vulnerable youth in Scotland.
URGENT FUNDING APPEAL

Please take this opportunity to invest in a future where young people rise not because they are saved, but because they are trusted with the power to uplift others.

£100 could fund costs for the SCQF qualification they achieve
£1000 could support a teenager mentoring a nursery child

We want to say a huge thank you to MSP Emma Roddick, MSP Natalie Don-Innes (Minister for Children, Young People and The Promise), MSP Roz McCall, MSP Karen and MSP Davy Russell for speaking at The Scottish Parliament on the success of the Growing2gether programmes.
It means so much to us, to be recognised at The Scottish Parliament for the work we do in supporting children, young people, schools and communities.
Thank you to all of you who support us and we leave you with a question we are holding dear to our hearts "What if one of the keys for young people, is giving them someone or something to care about?"
Check out the input at Scottish Parliament tv
