❤️ We are proud to be a partner in the Live Longer Better programme which empowers people with the knowledge, confidence and support to make positive changes that can help them remain independent and healthy for longer.

Live Longer Better Devon aims to increase healthy life expectancy, reduce inequalities, support independence and reduce the need for health and social care interventions.

From January 2027, the programme will expand into Exmouth, Teignmouth, Barnstaple, Holsworthy, Great Torrington, Ilfracombe and Tiverton, while established work in Newton Abbot, Braunton and Bideford continues to develop.👇

Expanded Live Longer Better Devon Programme Supports People to Age well - Active Devon Older people across Devon are set to benefit from an expansion of the successful Live Longer Better programme, as partners come together to launch Live Longer Better Devon in communities across the county.

This is an important step forward for our plans to create a welcoming community space where children, young people and families can access the support they need.

🏊 Exciting news for Cranbrook: plans for new leisure, health and community facilities in the town centre have been approved.

The new Leisure and Wellbeing Centre will include a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, learner pool, gym, fitness studios, library space, community and clinical spaces, a café and soft play facilities. Outline permission has also been granted for a future Neighbourhood Health Centre and further commercial or community facilities.

This is an important step towards creating a vibrant town centre and bringing more services closer to home for Cranbrook’s growing community. Next steps will depend on funding, procurement and delivery arrangements.
