Although Autumn and Spring are said to be the best seasons to lay turf, you can actually lay it all year round. Conditions this summer so far are good for laying, so if you've been thinking about it, now's the time.

It's important to remember you need to avoid walking on the new turf until it’s properly rooted. This generally takes 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the weather.

With cooler temperatures, tomorrow might be a good day to mow your lawn. If you've been doing No Mow May and want to mow the area now, use a higher setting and reduce over the coming weeks, to avoid stressing or damaging your lawn.
