π Weβre officially one of the UKβs Best Employers! π
We are incredibly proud to share that our parent organisation, InHealth, has been named one of the Financial Times UK's Best Employers 2026! π
What makes this award so meaningful is that itβs completely based on independent, anonymous feedback from employees across the country. At its heart, the ranking measures one simple thing: whether team members would recommend their workplace to others. π€β¨
From our dedicated local clinic teams to everyone supporting our service behind the scenes, we believe that when our people feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow, it directly reflects in the fantastic care we give to our patients every day.
A massive thank you to all of our incredible colleagues across Devon and the wider UK who make this such a great place to work! π

π Big congratulations to our team! π
Three of our staff members have recently completed their Armed Forces Champion training! ποΈπ
This training is all about increasing awareness of our local Armed Forces community, understanding the unique impacts of military service, and learning how we can best support both active personnel and veterans when they come to us for their diabetic eye screening.
Devon has a proud military history, and we are committed to making sure our service is as accessible, supportive, and understanding as possible for those who serve or have served. π¬π§β€οΈ

βοΈ Staying Safe in the Heat: Information for Your Upcoming Diabetic Eye Screening Appointment βοΈ
With temperatures rising across Devon and Plymouth this week, we want to ensure all our patients stay safe, cool, and comfortable when coming in for their appointments.
Dehydration can impact your overall well-being and make your screening experience much more tiring, especially during hot spells.
If you are attending a diabetic eye screening appointment this week, please remember to:
Bring a drink with you: A reusable water bottle or a cool beverage is essential to keep your hydration levels up while travelling and waiting.
Plan your journey: Give yourself plenty of time so you donβt have to rush in the heat.
Wear sun protection: A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses are highly recommended. Remember: your eyes will be dilated during the test, making them temporarily more sensitive to bright sunlight afterward.
Stay in the shade: Keep out of the direct sun where possible before and after your appointment.
