💙 4 Safety Guides

📌 Please note: For those taking part as a guide, full training will be provided.

Navigating sight loss can often bring unique challenges, and behind so many individuals overcoming these challenges is a dedicated carer, family member, or friend offering unwavering support. From guiding through unfamiliar spaces to helping manage daily tasks, your dedication doesn't go unnoticed.

But we also know that being a carer requires a tonne of energy, patience, and time. While you are busy looking out for others, we want to make sure someone is looking out for you! 🤗

The preperation is on, the teams are readying themselves for this fun adventure, all to make a massive difference for our community. But they can't do it alone... they need your help to smash their fundraising goals!

Race Across Devon - Miles Better! 🏁

Saturday 18th July, we are hosting our biggest fundraiser of 2026! 💥

Think BBC's 'Race Across the World' with a twist! 10 teams will take on a challenge like no other, breaking down barriers and proving that nothing should stop you from embarking on your next adventure. Visually impaired racers will team together with sighted guides in a race across the county!

We are looking for adventurers and guides to take part in this exciting challenge 👀

What's better than an unforgettable experience exploring Devon? Doing it to shatter stereotypes and support Devon in Sight! Let's prove that sight loss is no barrier to adventure. 💙

To celebrate the incredible work volunteers carry out in our community, Specsavers Tiverton are offering free OCT scans to all volunteers who make an appointment to have their eyes tested throughout June.👏🏼
