A Million Acts of Hope is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK.

Most people want to live in strong, healthy, caring communities where everyone feels they belong. A Million Acts of Hope is about making that visible and bringing people from all backgrounds, and all walks of life, together.

The A Million Acts of Hope Week of Action is taking place from 13th to 20th May.

πŸ“–πŸŽ¨ ARTIST BOOK WORKSHOPS: BOOKBINDING COMING TO MOREDUN LIBRARY THIS MAY πŸŽ¨πŸ“–

Come learn about the art of bookbinding and bind your own book on one or all four of the workshops ran by the amazing Susie Wilson!

Session 1: Tuesday 19th of May from 12:30pm-1:30pm
The Pop Up Page
The Pop-Up book animates the page and brings it to life. In this workshop participants will discover the wonder of pages that become three-dimensional when opened. Participants will learn simple ways of cutting, folding and collage in order to create a unique pop up book.

Session 2: Tuesday 26th of May from 12:00pm- 1:00pm
Flexagons
Flexagons are books where the images alter as the pages are moved by the viewer. This workshop will experiment with several moveable book structures as a way to imagine images that can change. Lo-fi methods of printmaking will be used to make content.

Session 3: Tuesday 2nd of June from 12:00pm-1:00pm
