Come and join in the Empathy Day Festival with us at Leith Library from 4- 11 June.
We'll have a themed display of books to browse and borrow across the week;
Friday 5th June at 2pm: make your own Empathy superhero mask;
Saturday 6th June at 1pm: writing and craft club;
Thursday 11th June from 3pm; drop-in empathy themed crafts;
Help us decorate our Empathy tree of kind actions as well!

Our Digital Tech support drop-in will be on the first Wednesday of every month - next session Wednesday 3rd June, 10-12 noon.
Come along to get some help and support for accessing the internet, making an email account, doing a Word document and getting the most out of your laptop, mobile phone or PC.
Sessions designed to support and enable you to feel more confident using Information Technology.

Join us for at Leith Library for Bookbug Sessions this week on Tuesday 19th and Saturday 23rd May, at 10.30am
and drop in throughout the week to try out Bookbug's Big Bingo!

The theme for this year is Bookbug’s Big Quest – a celebration of storybook journeys, adventures and expeditions. 📖

History of Scotland’s Libraries Explored
at Leith library,
Inspiring the nation: 300 years of Scottish Libraries explores the history of libraries in Scotland and how they've developed from private book collections to vital spaces at the heart of our communities.
Featuring images from Historic Environment Scotland’s archives, the exhibition charts their innovation and growth from the 17th century through their continued evolution in response to the changing needs of society to become the varied public services they are today.
Exhibition now on in our community space.

Our Kids' Craft and Writing Club is back this Saturday 9th May, now open to children aged 5-11. This week we'll be making collages and writing stories using old library books -- hope to see you there!

We have some surplus large cardboard removals boxes available first-come-first-served basis to anyone wanting to drop in and take them away.
We're open until 8pm this evening; then from 10am- 8pm tomorrow (Wednesday).

We now have our very own Seed exchange library sow why not pop along to Leith library if you have any spare seeds to contribute or if you fancy trying your hand at new and exciting crops,
available to all and located next to the public pc's.
