We’re supporting our neighbours at Castlebrae Community Campus with their Work Experience Week, and we’d love to get more local businesses involved too.

Work experience might only be a few days, but for a young person it can be a pretty big deal.

It’s a chance to step into a workplace, meet new people, ask lots of questions, try a few things and get a feel for what working life is actually like. It might even spark an idea about what they’d like to do in the future.

And you really don’t need a fancy work experience programme. You just need a bit of time, some patience and a willingness to let a young person see what goes on behind the scenes in your business.

We’ll be opening our doors at Create and we’d love some of our local businesses to do the same.

Last year one of the loveliest parts of Doors Open Day was watching old school friends meet again, sometimes after many, many years and hearing the stories that came flooding back as people walked the corridors.
