Canalympics champions! 🎉 🏆

Our tenants at Mansewood Court in Whitburn had a fantastic time at their Annual Canalympics at Craigswood Sports Centre, organised by SMILE in West Lothian.

Taking part in a range of fun events, including curling, cup stacking and hook-a-duck, our tenants enjoyed an afternoon of friendly competition, laughter and community spirit.

After weeks of preparing their own flags and T-shirts, the team proudly marched behind a piper, before going on to win the overall Annual Shield! 🏆

The event is a highlight of the year, bringing people together, building confidence and friendships and supporting physical and mental wellbeing.

Help with heating costs this winter ❄️

If you live in Scotland and are of State Pension age, you may be eligible for Pension Age Winter Heating Payment to help with your heating costs this winter.

You could receive between £105.55 and £316.70, depending on your circumstances.

Most eligible people will receive the payment automatically, with letters confirming payments being sent from November 2026.

If you’re not sure whether you’re eligible, you can check the guidance on the Scottish Government website.

You may also be entitled to other help with heating costs, including Winter Heating Payment or the Warm Home Discount.

Please be aware of scams and never give your bank details or passwords to anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.

As we wrap up our week-long Scottish Housing Day campaign, we’re looking at how technology is helping us create healthier homes for our tenants 🌐

Bield is rolling out environmental sensors across our properties and communal areas, helping us monitor things like dampness, humidity and air quality in real time.

This means we can spot potential issues earlier and take a more proactive approach to keeping homes safe, comfortable and healthy.
