A huge congratulations to one of our tenants at Springfield Gardens, Shona, who has been awarded the MacLeod Medal in recognition of 70 years of living with diabetes 👏💙

This is a truly special achievement and not an award given lightly. Shona, who will be celebrating her 86th birthday in August, has lived a full and inspiring life with Type 1 diabetes.

She hopes her story will encourage others living with diabetes, showing that it is possible to live a long, full and meaningful life. 💙

Steve Laidlaw, our Housing Support Worker at Holmes Gardens, retired at the end of April 🎉

To celebrate (and in true Steve style), he marked the day in a seal onesie, a nod to his love of seals! 🦭

Tenants and staff came together to enjoy refreshments and wish him all the best for his retirement.

This Dementia Action Week, Oakburn Park Day Care in Milngavie celebrated the opening of their new interactive sensory garden 🌼

Service users, families, carers and staff came together to enjoy a day filled with conversation, connection and shared memories. The garden — designed to support reminiscence and sensory stimulation — sparked stories, laughter and meaningful moments throughout.

With themed activities, a welcoming atmosphere and a real sense of community, it was a fantastic celebration of the power of connection for people living with dementia.

A big thank you to the team for their hard work in bringing the garden to life 💙
