⭐️EDINBURGH HOLIDAY CAMPS⭐️

Is it Wednesday already? We’ve been busy in EHC week 2 since Monday that we’ve not even had time to update you all.

Lots of singing, dancing and acting with over 45 students! We have mixed Fame with Fame Academy,
plus added some classic MT tunes to shape this weeks holiday camp fun! It’s all go go go.

SATURDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2026

The team from Step Into The Spotlight are bringing you something new and exciting. A workshop experience within a theatre, bringing the art to life. Dancers aged 4-17, will be split into age/and or ability groups and will work with exciting, up and coming choreographers, to produce a performance in a creative, imagination, and encouraging environment.

The fee is £30 per dancer, this includes a t shirt to be worn at the finale of the evening performance. The day will be full on, lots of fun, experimentation with movement pieces, and a chance for the dancers to express themselves.

The day will run as follows :-

9am - Registration in the foyer 😄

Then dancers will make their way to an allocated dressing room. Their will be staff/volunteers (pvg holders) to assist in each area. Where possible it would be good if parents left the children at this point, but we fully understand there may be a small transition period where parents accompany their child into their area. Following this, and due to health and safety, parents must then leave backstage, and can sit in the foyer, but the auditorium is exclusively for staff and dancers.

9.30 am Dancers will convene in the auditorium for a welcome meeting and to cover any theatre house keeping. They will then be sent to their learning zones, of which there will be 3, on stage, the studio and backstage.

9.45 am Warm Up with choreographers 🥵

10.00 am - 1.00 pm Workshop style classes in a variety of genres, each working 💪 towards a finished piece for the show.

1.00 - 1.30 pm Lunch, as time is of the essence, can the dancers all bring a packed lunch please.

1.30 - 2.30 pm The last class of the day culminating in 15 minutes work on the finale.

2.30 - 3.30 pm Rehearsals for the show.

3.30 - 4.30 pm The opportunity to audition for one of our 10 solo/duo slots in the evening performance. If this is something you would like to do, be prepared and bring a costume.

4.30 - 5.30 pm Dinner time for all dancers, supervised by the volunteers. Dancers over the age of 11 may leave the building, if parents have signed the permission slip.

5.30 - 6.30 pm All dancers must return to sign in or to their dressing area and prepare for the performance.

6.30 pm Step Into The Spotlight, the performance begins in The Church Hill Theatre. All tickets are £10 and will go on sale this Wednesday, 14th January.

Their will be 2 acts in the show with a short interval. We anticipate a finish time of no later than 8.30 pm. Costumes will be colour codes rather than specific costumes and all this information will be given when you book.
