A great performance was had last night! Bravo to the cast and production team, and a big thank you to our audience!
So there I was in a busy Birmingham street tonight parked outside Blue Orange Theatre (What do you mean there are double yellows?) and running into theatre grabbing props and loading car...Street people never batted an eye.....BUT the reverend and wife who were holding there religious event in the studio reacted fast...they thought I was a thief!!! It was a brief notion I quickly dispelled...perhaps I should not have been wearing the ski-mask...anyway...props collected
It could lead to world peace.
It may cure common colds and hangovers.
It might even provide you with the greatest sexual thrill ever;
then again.....
It is dark, absurd, inventive and just a bloody laugh...and we could all do with that these days!
Come.....and bring your pants
Paper in my Pants (aka PIMP) at Greenside@Infirmary Street, Forest Theatre 4.10pm Aug 15-20
Update time
Rehearsals got underway on Monday and, well, WOW! This young cast are so enthusiastic and up for this play...not to mention bloody talented. Under the expert guidance of the wonderful director Jac Bevan they are blitzing it...off book and blocked inside three days...now honing and tweaking, squeezing every last inch out of themselves and the script.
Added scene, a prerecorded piece, all tied up too! Sterling work on this from all cast, particularly Richard for his filming expertise and Jimm for....well that would be telling!
Jimm and Milly will join the producer in a round trip to Edinburgh on Wednesday for the press launch....4am start for a 10.30am tech ready for a presentation..all three minutes of it...two hours later. then...a quick bit of flyering and promo chats, then back on the road.
Fun fun fun
Two weeks to go gang!
