The Haystack Hostel is back! It's been a crazy year but we're excited to welcome you all back in Edinburgh!

Happy Easter to everyone, we hope you enjoy some family and friend time (even if through Zoom). We hope to reopen fairly soon and haven't just sit back and wait. We have designed and downgrade our sleeping capacity from 48 to 26!! We want to improve your experience with us by offering more for what you pay: a comfortable, clean and safe space for everyone visiting Edinburgh. We can't wait to see your faces, even if through a mask. A sneak peak of our new rooms hope you like it, no wonder you will notice quite a difference from our past rooms. ; ;

As a non-essential business we continue to be temporarily closed to ensure we play no part in the further spread of Covid-19.

People are at the heart of our business and we are committed to them, whether that is our guest, colleagues, suppliers or friends.

Until we have further information the Haystack Hostel remains closed.

We are temporarily closing the hostel due to the impact of COVID-19. While no one could have predicted the impact this global situation would have on all of us, we are beyond proud of the kindness and resilience shown from our community, our staff and our guests.

A big thank you for supporting us by amending your booking rather than cancelling. This is vital to our business.

We are looking for a night porter to join our fantastic team at haystack Hostels on a short term contract!

Duties would include:

-checking in and out of guests.
-providing amazing customer service to all of our guests.
-any cleaning that needs done in the evening.
-setting out breakfast in the morning.
-covering the occasional day shift.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about travel and enjoy meeting new people!
