Join us at Newington Library on Friday 26th June at 2pm for an uplifting family drumming workshop suitable for adults and children from aged 8 upwards full of rhythm, laughter, and community spirit! No experience needed — we’ll explore African-inspired rhythms together, learn simple drumming patterns, and create powerful music as a group. Perfect for families and individuals. Drums are provided, just bring your energy and curiosity!

Axé Boom Boom is a social enterprise based in Edinburgh that brings people together through rhythm, movement, and culture. We deliver community drumming and Capoeira sessions for all ages, promoting creativity, wellbeing, and connection. 🪘🎼🪘

Make Music Day : An Evening with Nobby Clark

Join us in celebrating Make Music Day at Newington Library on Monday 22nd June at 6pm for a laid-back chat with Nobby Clark, the original lead singer of the Bay City Rollers. Hear all about his life in the music business and get a glimpse into his autobiography straight from the man himself.

Whether you're a long time fan or just curious about the music scene, this is a great chance to hear stories and insights from a true rock legend in an informal setting.

We would like to congratulate NappiRunz who have been awarded with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service. NappiRunz is an amazing Edinburgh based charity with a mission to tackle nappy poverty in the communities by collecting unused nappies to distribute to families in need.

We would like to thank everyone who has donated and continues to donate nappies into Newington Library for NappiRunz. ❤
