Oracle Academy were not gaining many membership sign ups on their Academy website and asked us if we could help them increase sign ups and make it easier for users to find the downloadable PDF guides. After reviewing the online data the two main areas that were having the highest bounce rates were the website main landing page and 3x pdf instruction registration guides. I helped to fix this problem by redesigning the website landing page so that it clearly identified the two main user types and where to log-in, the 3x pdf user guides were re-written with step-by-step login instructions and illustrated screen graphics, I identified and created 2x further pdf files that made the process easier to understand, 1x being a user flow diagram which identified the correct pdf file to download. On the landing page a “Need Help with Registration?” field area was introduced where each of the instruction guides could be easily downloaded. The target audience was Universities and Colleges throughout Europe; student, faculty members (lecturers) and Institutional members (the actual College or University). The new user face and PDF’s were tested by 50x none-members throughout Europe who found the whole process simple and easy to follow. https://academy.oracle.com/en/membership-join-oracle-academy.html
