Practicing yoga with music is pretty magical with this group of people living with dementia ☀️

I’ll be offering Teen Yoga classes on Wednesdays (during school term times) at a new location, starting 5th March 😍

5:15-6:15pm .yogashala - Trafalgar Street

These nourishing classes will focus on practices to help release tension and calm the mind.

We will explore postures, breathing techniques & meditation with the class always finishing with a blissful relaxation.

I’ve recently come to the end of a short pilot project i was honoured to be part of - sharing yoga with bereaved children to help them navigate this challenging time in their lives.

These sessions were a joint project with children and families team, supporting 9-12 year olds with the loss of a loved one.

Sessions have introduced helpful practices including movement, breathwork, mindfulness and relaxation (including making mindfulness jars as in video)

Feedback from the children has been that they feel happier, more confident, calmer, sleeping better and have enjoyed being part of a group with shared experience.

Caregivers have noted a difference in the children’s behaviour too.

I am grateful for every opportunity to share the benefits of yoga. I have some availability for 1:1 work or small group yoga therapy sessions

⭐️ Myself and Esther will be co-teaching this class on Friday night at Lululemon, George street

⭐️ Donations being collected for a wonderful local charity - who support disabled children through adventure play.

❤️ This will be a relaxing class to bring a settled end to the week

Still a few spaces available for family yoga on Sunday (24th March) at 11am - Lifecare Centre, Stockbridge.
These classes are suitable for children aged between 3 and 12 and their caregivers to come together to practice yoga.
Classes include postures, breathing techniques and relaxation.

As I walk with the sun rising peacefully over Edinburgh this morning, I feel completely heartbroken for those in Gaza facing another day of bombs and gunfire 💔

This class is open to adults living with a life limiting condition in Edinburgh.

No yoga experience required - modifications offered for all depending on needs

When: Thursdays 3-4pm
Where: Well-being Service within St Columba’s Hospice, Boswall Road

Feeling refreshed and recharged after a great few days away with family ❤️
Being surrounded by nature with the sound of the sea is where I’m happiest 😊

🧘‍♂️ Introducing the Yamas in kids and teen classes this week - exploring kindness for ourselves and others ❤️

Next Saturday (30th July) at 10am, I’ll be offering an hour of yoga to help raise funds for Ride for MND’s high 5 challenge.

This will be a gentle class, hosted online via zoom.
