How cool is Nelson? 😍
He’s such a happy boy and new to us at the clinic! He’s currently on our Neurological Programme after having his initial consultation with vet Emma, who assessed him and tailored a plan to his needs. He is now attending weekly appointments with us for 6 weeks before checking in again with Emma at the end of his programme to see how he has progressed. Having a vet oversee all of our patients means there’s no guessing and no risk of the wrong therapies being undertaken.
We are always led by the patients and their response to the therapies we are performing as we go through their treatment plan, because the clinic is multi modal we can switch things up whenever we need to for outcomes to be optimal instead of being limited to only one option.

Happy Monday you lovely bunch 🥰
We’re excited to announce that Pawsitive Relief will be attending the North East Dog Festival again this year in the Wellness Area!
Did you know that many dogs living with pain don’t cry or yelp? Instead, the signs can be much more subtle…
Keep an eye out for:
😞 Hesitating on stairs
😞 Struggling to get up after rest
😞 Walking behind on walks
😞 Reluctance to jump
😞 Reduced interest in play
These changes are often dismissed as “just getting older” but they can be important signs of discomfort or underlying pain ❤️🩹
Come and chat with us at the festival this year to learn more about how rehabilitation can help improve your dog’s comfort, mobility and quality of life 💙

Hello you lovely lot! 💞
It has been a hot minute since we posted anything on social media, so I’m just popping on to say hello and let you know we are still here! 😄
We have been incredibly busy in the clinic recently with all of our delicious patients 😍 but we are hoping to get back to our regular posts again very soon, it seems unfair to keep all of this cuteness to ourselves 🤭
Regarding communications with us, if you do call the clinic and no one answers please do leave a quick voicemail so we know who you are and we will come back to you as soon as we possibly can. Between consultations and working patterns sometimes the telephone isn’t answered right away, however you can always reach us on emails and this is generally our preferred channel of yapping 💬😄 (we are on WhatsApp too!)
I hope you all have a fabulous bank holiday weekend, and we promise to bring you more posts and updates soon. Thank you so much for keeping Emma and the girls so busy! 🙏🏻

Lovely Nova! 💞🥰
Nova is new to the clinic and was referred by her vet after she suffered a digital flexor tendon injury which she underwent surgery for. She came to see vet Emma, who put a plan in place for her rehabilitation. Sh is currently undergoing a series of therapeutic ultrasound sessions, this is applied to the superficial digital flexor tendon and the aim of using ultrasound in this case is to aid tissue healing and improve tensile strength of the tendon.
Nova also comes for physiotherapy to address compensations and to ensure the home treatment plan is safe and effective over the course of this rehabilitation process 🙏🏻

Canine physiotherapy isn’t just for recovering from injury or surgery, it can benefit almost every dog🙀
Even those who seem perfectly healthy can develop subtle stiffness, muscle imbalances or changes in the way they move. Physiotherapy helps identify and address these issues early, supporting better movement, comfort, and long-term health.
For older dogs it’s especially valuable. As dogs age they naturally lose muscle strength, joint flexibility and may begin to develop arthritis. Regular physiotherapy can help maintain mobility, reduce stiffness, improve balance, and keep them active for longer.
Physio isn’t just about recovery, it’s about helping pets stay strong, comfortable and enjoy life at every age 🐕✨

How lovely is Leif? 😍💚
He is just our most favourite marshmallow cloud boy🫶 and loves his swimmy swims with Claire at the pool! All of that floof gives Claire a decent weekly arm workout with his bath and blowdry 😏 He also comes to see Jade for physiotherapy sessions occasionally, with check ins with vet Emma to make sure we are progressing and that treatment plan we’re following is still appropriate and effective for him 😌💗

Successful rehab isn’t just one thing, it’s everything working together 🙏🏻
Exercise, hands-on treatment, nutrition, supplements, weight management, and medication when it’s needed. Each part matters, but it’s how they all come together that really helps pets feel and move better.
Because we’re vet-led, we can guide every part of that plan, so nothing is missed and everything works in sync. Each element plays a role but it’s the harmony between them that makes the difference.
We don’t just focus on one piece of the puzzle, we assess and guide the whole picture, safely and effectively🐾😌

I am all but certain it was only just Christmas… but I don’t make the rules 🤣 👀
Happy Easter weekend to you all! Please remember to keep all of the delicious treats away from your fluffers this weekend, unfortunately our pets whilst perfect in every way have a major biological design flaw that the best things in life (chocolate) are rather toxic for them. Thankfully the same doesn’t apply for us🤩🍫
If you have an emergency over the weekend please contact your regular veterinary practice or Wear Referrals 🐾💗 🐣

As most of our regulars know Emma is on a (well deserved!!) holiday currently, and has left us in charge!! 👀 Jade has had a busy day today with her delicious physio and treadmill clients 🐶 ❤️ and we’re trying not to cause too much chaos 😏😇
We’re currently taking new client bookings from 15th April onwards for any rehabilitation consultations, if you’ve got an ouchy pet and think they might benefit from an in depth mobility assessment let us know. We want to help ALL of the doggos live their comfiest lives 🥰✨

A couple of our regular flyers who visited us recently, Betty and Rolo! 🐶
Betty came to see us for a physiotherapy and laser session, she enjoyed a nice massage and she is also seeing vet Emma for acupuncture in between her appointments with Jade. The benefit of a multimodal clinic works well for those patients who require multiple different modalities ongoing 🧡
Rolo the rocket has recently done a full hydrotherapy block of 10 sessions and we have progressed to using the incline setting to increase stride length, improve joint range of motion and further engage the pelvic limb muscles 💙
They are both superstars!🤩
