💛A Big Thank You to those of you who have donated, our Storage Volunteers who manage our donations and to Big Yellow Self Storage for their support to help us store the donations!
🎁We collect donations of items for Mamas and Baby's so that we can best support our Mamas through their pregnancy and early parenthood.
🙋♀️We always need New Car Seats, but any other item can be donated second hand, so please do contact us if you would like to donate or join our Storage Volunteer team: [email protected]

😍One of our Mamas supported recently shared this lovely feedback with us, and we wanted to share it with you.
❤️This is exactly what the Birth Partner Project is here to provide; companionship around birth and early parenthood. Someone who you can trust to be with you when it matters most.
🤰Our Birth Partner Volunteers form a team around each Mama, providing weekly visits in the lead up to the birth, a 24 hour on-call rota around your due date, and then weekly visits until your baby is 2 months old. We provide friendship, can provide donations where needed, and we aim to help build a community around our Mamas in the process.

❤️As a small charity we are so grateful to all our partners who volunteer their skills or donate behind the scenes to keep our charity going.
🙋♀️If you would like to join as a Partner, please get in touch!
👩💻Masie Bolan have provided us pro-bono (free) HR support and advice since last summer. This support has enabled us to do so much great work behind the scenes.
🙏Thank you so much!

📣We would love to know - what was the best breastfeeding advice you got from someone or you would give to someone now?Maybe it was a top tip, maybe it was reassurance that its ok if it doesn't work for you, or maybe it was ni**le guards! Let us know in the comments!
❤️Breastfeeding can be hard and it can be beautiful. Our Birth Partner Volunteers support Mamas to navigate this journey for them and their baby in their postpartum. We are not all experts, we might bring lived experience we might not, but we as companions we bring compassion, resources and signposting where helpful.
💜One of the things we have signposted our Mamas to is the Breastfeeding Network. They run local groups, have a helpline, lots of resources and we are lucky to have some of our volunteers also volunteer with them. They currently have an opportunity to train as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter - interested? Find out more and sign up through their account: Breastfeeding Network Cardiff & Vale. 🤰 One of the Mama's we're supporting is due in July and needs a baby car seat - could you help us buy her one?
🚓 Mama's often need a baby car seat to bring their baby home from hospital, but it's the one item we can't donate second hand due to safety reasons.
💶 Baby car seats start at £50, so we appreciate they're a significant donation to ask for new - but if you can afford it, it's a donation that makes a big difference to our Mamas! Thank you!!
