We often talk about going the extra mile for our customers. This time, it meant a trip to England to help with an installation.

James flew over to lend our engineers a hand. As it turns out, he’s pretty handy with a fitting too!

This week, we’re highlighting AR Grahams Engineering, a custom metalwork and precision engineering company based in County Armagh.

The challenge
The team needed a complete telecoms setup: reliable broadband at their site, mobiles for when they’re out and about, and a Gamma Horizon phone system to help everyone stay connected.

How we helped
We started with a full site survey to understand how the team works and what the setup needed to support. From there, we put their broadband, mobiles and Horizon system in place, with a focus on making it easy for customers to reach the right person, whether they’re at a desk or away from the site.

Every business works differently. That’s why we take the time to set up phone systems around the people using them, then provide a dedicated account manager to review and improve the setup as their needs change.

Last week, our telecom team got together with Gamma Business to explore the latest features and find out what’s coming next.

These regular sessions give our team the chance to ask questions, get hands-on with the system, and think about how new features could help our customers.

Thanks to Jennifer Somerville and Matthew Rudolph for coming over and sharing your knowledge with the team. As always, we came away with plenty to take back to our customers and help them get more from their systems.

We’ve hit our fundraising target for Young Lives vs Cancer! 🎉

We’re so happy to have reached this milestone. A huge thank you to everyone who donated, joined an activity or helped make it happen.

And we’re keeping going! Young Lives vs Cancer will remain our charity partner for the rest of the year, with a few more fundraising activities already lined up.

Customer Focus 👋

This week, we’re highlighting one of the newest bus and coach operators to join the Simplicity family: Hannon Coach.

Part of the wider HANNON Group, HANNON Coach brings extensive experience in commercial transport. Its partnerships with key industry bodies, ferry operators and other organisations help it deliver a professional and reliable coach service across Ireland.

Bus and coach is a sector we know well. We work with operators across Ireland and understand the importance of having dependable vehicle camera systems in place.

From supporting insurance claims to protecting passengers and drivers, the right camera system gives operators greater visibility and confidence across their fleet.

Our Head Engineer, Scott Backus, recently travelled to complete the installation for Hannon Coach. With engineers based across Ireland, we can arrange installations around each operator’s routes and working schedule.

Support also continues beyond the installation. The HANNON Coach team will receive full system training and have a dedicated account manager available to help them get the most from the technology as their needs develop.

This week, we’re highlighting one of the newest customers to join our telecoms family, Whitehouse Retail Park.

About Whitehouse Retail Park
Whitehouse Retail Park started out as a small filling station with just two pumps and a modest shop.

Over the years, it has grown into a real local hub, with a supermarket, car wash complex and a range of other services. Today, the site spans more than four acres and employs over 40 people.

The challenge
Whitehouse Retail already had a cloud phone system in place, but when something went wrong, getting the support they needed wasn’t always straightforward.

For a busy, service-led business, being available to customers is hugely important. They didn’t necessarily need a completely new system. They needed the right support behind the one they already had.

How we helped
Our team took over the management and support of their existing Horizon Webex system.

When delays outside our control came up, we handled them and put a temporary solution in place, keeping Whitehouse connected and ensuring their business wasn’t disrupted.

As soon as it was resolved, our local team were back on site to get the permanent solution up and running and make sure everything was working as it should.

For us, that’s a big part of what good telecoms should look like.

A great system is important. But having a local team you can actually rely on when something goes wrong can be just as important.

It’s the first of September, and we always like to start a new month by looking back at what we’ve learned.

Last week, our fleet and telecoms teams came together for an off-site day at our partner MANTIS offices.

We like to bring our teams together regularly to learn more about how different parts of the business work and share ideas across the team. Here's a few pictures from the day.
