Second-grade students as part of the implementation of the next edition of the Pozarządownik 3.0 project, whose aim is to expand knowledge about the third sector, i.e. the activities of non-governmental organizations in Poland, met with Ms. Anna Tatar representing the "Never Again" Association, whose main goal is to prevent racism and xenophobia , discrimination and collecting information on such events. Our guest spoke about the campaigns conducted by the Association, the forms of activities, the Brown Book, which is regularly published, and about the possibility of working as volunteers. At the end of the meeting, the young people worked in groups trying to resolve situations where there was racial discrimination.

Yesterday we celebrated The International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust.
In Auschwitz, citizens of almost all European countries were imprisoned and murdered by the Germans. Over 1.1 million people did not survive to see freedom. They died in the largest of the N**i death factories.

We are in Strasbourg!

For several dozen years, the Berlin Wall was the symbol of the "Cold war" and the division of Europe and the world into two hostile camps. The decision to build it was made in 1961 and was done to prevent depopulation of East Berlin. The wall was over 150 km long and in fact was a belt of fortifications with watchtowers, dogs, and barbed wire.
On November 9, 1989, the authorities of the GDR at that time, under the influence of events in Poland and the growing mood of dissatisfaction with the current situation, decided to open borders between the GDR and Germany. It was the beginning of the fall of the wall, which was finally demolished in 1990. Students of class 2c of Lajos Kossuth High School in Warsaw prepared presentations and tasks in the form of a crossword puzzle and also built a symbolic wall for younger colleagues. It was later symbolically destroyed.
