How can European communities respond to climate change while strengthening citizens’ trust in public decision-making?

The FOSTER Closing Conference – Climate Change, Participation and Trust, hosted by Foster Europe, will bring citizens, policymakers, researchers and civil society representatives together at the Bruno Kreisky Forum in Vienna for a full day of exchange and debate.

The event will feature two complementary sessions:
🔸 a morning dedicated to citizens’ voices, local experiences and policy reflection, with participants from Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania and Spain;
🔸 an evening high-level debate bringing together representatives from politics, academia and civil society.

The event is open to civil society organisations, local and regional authorities, policymakers, researchers, practitioners and all interested citizens.

📢 Call for Participants | Join the Youth-ID Network of Multipliers!

Are you a youth worker passionate about creating more inclusive communities and empowering young people?

ALDA is looking for participants to join the Youth-ID project, an Erasmus+ initiative that equips youth professionals with the tools to guide young people in participatory design, community mapping and local policy advocacy.

As a Youth-ID Multiplier, you will:
🇫🇷 Take part in a Training of Trainers in Strasbourg on 15–16 September 2026;
🤝 Mentor a local group of young people over the following 12 months;
🌍 Join international exchanges in Poland and Brussels;
📜 Receive a YouthPass certificate and access to exclusive learning resources;
💡 Help young people co-design more inclusive public spaces and contribute to local policymaking.

📍 Who can apply?
Youth workers and professionals based in Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, Cyprus or North Macedonia who are committed to inclusive community development and can take part in the full programme.

🍴 Ultimo appuntamento Social Food: i sapori di Camerun e Costa d’Avorio!

Il viaggio culinario di Social Food è giunto al termine. Il 29 giugno la polpetteria Rumori ha ospitato il quinto e ultimo laboratorio sociale e culinario.

La serata ha fatto conoscere alla cittadinanza i piatti tradizionali del Camerun e della Costa d’Avorio. I protagonisti della serata?

🍲 Il Ndolé (Camerun): un piatto a base di foglie di Ndolé (una pianta locale dal retrogusto amaro) che vengono cotte e abbinate a una crema di arachidi fresche macinate, spezie e gamberi saltati.
🍚L'Attiéké (Costa d'Avorio): semolino di manioca fermentata e grattugiata, simile al couscous, Patrimonio Immateriale dell'Umanità UNESCO. Il riconoscimento ne premia la produzione artigianale, tramandata dalle donne ivoriane, come simbolo di identità culturale ed emancipazione femminile. Per l'occasione è stato servito accompagnato dal pesce.

Promosso dall’Ambito Territoriale Sociale del Comune di Vicenza e sostenuto da Fondazione Cariverona, Social Food ha unito inclusione e formazione professionale nella ristorazione. Con la collaborazione di ALDA+, ICS e il Terzo Settore, il cibo è diventato strumento di incontro e integrazione. 🌍

Grazie a tutti i ristoranti, ai partner, alle cuoche e ai cittadini che hanno partecipato a questa rassegna di inclusione e scambio culturale!

🌐💼As part of the AMIL project, Codeca - Center for Social Cohesion, Development and Care continues to support the labour market integration of Third Country Nationals by providing vocational training that responds to current needs in .

🤝In collaboration with Intercollege, two specialised training programmes are currently being delivered in the fields of Wellness & Beauty and Hospitality & Restaurant Management.

Combining theoretical learning with practical, hands-on experience, the courses equip participants with industry-specific knowledge, technical skills, and the professional competencies required to access employment opportunities in these growing sectors.

These training initiatives reflect the project's commitment to promoting sustainable through skills development, supporting people strengthen their employability while supporting a more inclusive and resilient workforce.

🇪🇺 + | Découvrir les initiatives locales qui favorisent la participation civique

✈️Du 6 au 10 juillet, 25 participants du projet Youth Social Act – de Chypre, de Grèce, d’Italie, de France et du Portugal – se sont réunis à .

Organisée par l'ALDA, cette visite d’étude avait l'objectif de permettre aux jeunes et aux animateurs jeunesse d’explorer des exemples concrets de la manière dont les autorités locales et les organisations impliquent les jeunes dans la vie .

Au programme : une visite guidée mise en place par Les Jeunes Européens - Strasbourg et une chasse au trésor par Lieu d'Europe Strasbourg, pour découvrir la ville, son histoire et son rôle au niveau européen. De plus, une visite au centre administratif du Strasbourg.eu pour se familiariser avec le Cdj Strasbourg, au Csc Neuhof, qui s’engage à soutenir les initiatives citoyennes; au Council of Europe au fin de découvrir son centre Council of Europe Youth.

💡Cette visite d’étude visait à sensibiliser les jeunes à ce qu’ils peuvent faire au niveau local – ainsi qu’au niveau européen – pour promouvoir une citoyenneté active, en s’inspirant de cette expérience pour développer une initiative dans leur pays visant à promouvoir les priorités du projet Youth Social Act: l’égalité et l’inclusion, l’intégration sociale, des sociétés vertes et durables, des modes de vie sains et l’expression créative des jeunes.



🇪🇺 + | Discovering the local actions that promote social and civic participation

✈️From 6 to 10 July, 25 participants of the Youth Social Act project - coming from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, France and Portugal - gathered in Strasbourg.

Hosted by ALDA, this study visit aimed at letting young people and youth workers explore concrete examples of how local authorities and organisations involve youth in life and decision‑making.

💡The activities included a tour by Les Jeunes Européens - Strasbourg and a treasure hunt by Lieu d'Europe Strasbourg, both to discover the city, its history, and its role at a EU level. In addition, we visited the administrative center of Strasbourg.eu to familiarise with its Cdj Strasbourg, the Csc Neuhof, engaged in supporting citizens’ initiatives, and the Council of Europe to discover its Council of Europe Youth.

The study visit wanted to raise awareness about what young people can do on a - as well as on a - level to promote active , taking inspiration to organise, in their countries, an initiative to promote the priorities of the Youth Social Act project: equality and inclusion, social integration, sustainable green societies, healthy lifestyles and creative youth expression.

🏛️ Il filmato sarà proiettato all'interno del neonato Spazio Mefite – Atlante delle dell'Alto Tammaro, il centro culturale e didattico inaugurato nel borgo con l’obiettivo di valorizzare il prezioso patrimonio locale.

💧 Questa produzione, ideata in sinergia con l'Associazione Culturale “Paese dell'Acqua” e la Rete mondiale dei musei dell’acqua (Global Network of Water Museums Unesco-IHP), fa parte del progetto Tracce - Un tratturo in comune promosso dai Comuni di Santa Croce del Sannio e Circello e realizzato nell'ambito dei finanziamenti PNRR (M1C3 – Investimento 2.1 “Attrattività dei borghi”).

🍴 Quarta serata Social Food: viaggio nei sapori del Marocco!
La cucina di Silene Bottega & Cucina ha ospitato il quarto dei cinque appuntamenti dei laboratori sociali e culinari di Social Food. ✨ Una serata completamente vegetariana che ha permesso agli ospiti di immergersi nella cultura del Marocco, scoprendo nuove ricette attraverso l'assaggio e la condivisione.

I protagonisti della serata?
🥣 L'Harira: una delle zuppe più famose e amate della cucina marocchina, tradizionalmente consumata per spezzare il digiuno durante il mese del Ramadan. Per questa serata speciale è stata proposta in una deliziosa versione vegetariana a base di legumi (come lenticchie e ceci), spezie profumate e accompagnata con uno spicchio di limone!
🥖 I panini tradizionali: morbidi panini tipici, farciti per l'occasione con un mix saporito di verdure saltate e spezie.

Il progetto: promosso dall’Ambito Territoriale Sociale del Comune di Vicenza e sostenuto da Fondazione Cariverona (bando Welfare Generativo), Social Food unisce inclusione sociale e formazione professionale nella ristorazione. Con la collaborazione di ALDA+, ICS e il Terzo Settore, il progetto offre competenze concrete, usando la cucina e questi laboratori come strumenti di incontro, integrazione e scambio culturale con tutta la cittadinanza.
