Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar a en su primer 8c+, que logra a sus 40 años. Más allá de la performance atlética, lo que me parece interesante y destacable, es su estilo para la escalada deportiva. Evitando esa hiper-proyectitis tan común estos días. Encadeno la ruta en solo 3 días + algunos intentos en 2019!

La “hormi” además trabaja como rigger (nadie le paga por escalar), es alpinista de alto nivel, esquiadora y he comenzado a volar en parapente.


A few days ago I had the opportunity to photograph in her first 8c+, which she achieved at her 40.
Beyond the athletic performance, what I find interesting and remarkable is her style and approach to sport climbing, avoiding “overworking” the route, very common nowadays. She sent the route after 3 days of work + some attempts in 2019!

“La hormi" also works as a rigger (nobody pays her for climbing), she is a high level alpinist, skier and recently she started paragliding.
