The Pernety metro station opened in 1937 on the old line 14. In November 1976, it was integrated into line 13.

The station is unique and one of the few that was built on the ground floor of an existing building.

A couple of weeks ago, we checked out a place that's been on my radar since it opened in April 2025.
When a 1960s garage closed on rue Legendre years ago, work was started behind the facade by the Groupe Galia. The work was carefully thought out as they could have completely demolished the 10,000 m2 of old parking space. Instead, they worked with the creative, New York team, Roman and Williams Guild to develop something extraordinary called La Fondation 🥂
The space has nine floors with a mix of offices, 65 five-star hotel rooms, a sports club with a climbing wall, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a spa, an event space, two restaurants and a rooftop terrace.
The rooftop offers a panoramic view of Paris.
There are 1500 m2 of suspended gardens and greenery throughout the massive structure.
The evening I went with Je T'Aime, Me Neither the Restaurant Les Ailes was closed for a private function but we enjoyed a great meal at their ground floor restaurant/bar/café La Base.
We also had a private tour of the rooftop terrace before it opened in May.
Like me, you might have walked by this space with curiosity but no time to check it out. Next time, stop and check it out!

Last week I was out of the usual neighbourhood for a meeting at the end of my work day. It was the perfect reason to return to one of my favourite Indian restaurants, Ministry of Spice - Paris 😋

From start to finish, the food was just as delicious and refined as I remembered. Next time I won't wait so long to return - thanks very much Jain ❤️

The 49th annual Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is on tomorrow with about 60,000 participants (a third are women). The aim for the city of Paris this year is to not have any plastic bottles. There will be 700 volunteers along the mythical .
