MARKET RESEARCH IN PROGRESS: My family go to visit the coolest farmer’s market in Nice this week, and tomorrow we head to Barcelona. I won’t be at the market tomorrow, but will be back in action next week!

CHOCOLATE EGGS 🍫 French Black Copper Marans lay beautiful, dark chocolate eggs known for their rich flavor. The ladies with golden eyes are black with feathered legs, red combs, and gold flecks in the feathers around the neck. Currently we have three Marans that are laying—Amie, Julie, and Lola, and six younger gals. While we’re not organic certified, all of our chickens are free range and eat USDA organic feed from birth on. What else makes these eggs so special? Unlike all of our other breeds, Marans take up to 32 weeks to begin laying eggs.
