Here is a breaking test performed on our leash with the splice intentionally opened.

SPLICED LEASH 🪡
We decided to take action regarding this product in order to address some of our customers’ concerns and provide additional clarity.
As explained in this video, there is no issue with the splice, it is secure and reliable, the ring cannot simply come out of the splice.
We understand that this design may raise questions, so we wanted to explain how it works and why it is safe to use as intended.
If you have any questions about the construction, feel free to ask them in the comments or send us a DM. We’ll be happy to provide further technical information.

The classic mistake for a highliner is forgetting to put on the ring while rigging the line. It happens to the best of us!
That’s one of the reasons we created the VORTEX: the world’s first clip-and-go highline ring that follows the highliner.
