In memory of Pita Rokotuvuni. Rest well small bro. A wonderful soul who has left us too early.

Thank you for the life lessons you have taught us. Keimami sa mai kila na yalomu ena nomu dau tamata mamarau ka dau cakacaka. We will cherish the good memories of you and earnestly pray that we'll meet up again in God's loving arms. So long Pitz.

T A V E U N I 🌺

There's something magical about Taveuni or the Garden Island as it is known.

Lush, tropical land surrounded by the aqua blue sea, one can't help but fall in love with this island in Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu.

Your local bloggers at Taba Fiji, in this upload, captured some drone shots of the waterfalls at Bouma and Lavena.

These falls are accessible to visitors, find or Taveuni Tourism or better still get in touch with Paradise Taveuni on their FB page and someone can help you from there on.

The land of the Tagimoucia is truly one of a kind!

Today is World Red Cross Day.

Taba Fiji's first engagement with this organisation was when we were taken on to photograph and capture videos of the assessment and relief work done hours after TC Yasa struck Bua province.

It was an honor and privilege to work with the awesome International Federation of Red Cross Communications Department in the Phillipines and also with the amazing volunteers based in Bua and Macuata.

Long hours, soaked clothes, little to no meals simply because we were out in the field with teams, waking up everyday seeing the suffering that people were enduring woke us up to the reality that human suffering and human resilience shows forth the character one possesses.

So on this special day, we at Taba Fiji would like to wish all the volunteers of Red Cross a blessed day.

Thank you for all that you do to make this world a better place.

Korovatu Beach and the "Hanging" bridge at Korotari, both in Labasa, were the venues that Shivneel and Shweta chose for their engagement photoshoot.

A wonderful couple to work with, whose charisma added to the beautiful occasion and day.

Taba Fiji wishes the couple the very best for their future together.

Bula si'a!

Labasa is the main business centre on Vanua Levu. Not only does it house the main Government administration, but it contains the Divisional hospital, branches of all the main banks, NGO's, the Sangam Nursing Institution, the University of the South Pacific and its TAFE arm, Fiji National University and of course the Labasa Sugar mill and other organisations.

Except for those who fly over this town, very rarely do the townsfolk or residents catch a glimpse of their town from the sky so when we at Taba Fiji captured this shot, we thought we'd publish to give hometown residents and those who call Labasa home, a glimpse of the town, today.

This drone shot was captured from the courthouse end of the town, showing bits of the Katonivere ground, the bridge leading directly onto the market and into town.

Within the town itself, there are many changes as Labasa evolves and adapts.

The once famous Popular Tea Room is no more, giving way to a modern looking eatery. New businesses are opening doors in the town, and as time goes, Labasa will most probably see the phasing out of old family owned ventures to make way for the more competitive set ups, catering for the fast-changing market in today's world.

More photos of this iconic town will be posted up here as we look to the future of the development of Labasa while trying to capture what it once was.

This is Babasiga!

Deciding to spend a lifetime together is a consensus two people consciously make because this will carry
them through the rough and tumble married life, sustain them when thoughts of indecision creep in yet it will also help them celebrate the little victories along the way.

Isaia and Salome did just this last week in Bua, Vanua Levu.

They made their vows to each other in front of family and friends who bores to this beautiful union.

Congratulations Isaia and Salome. Taba Fiji wishes you well on this amazing journey you're taking together.

Thank you for letting us be part of your wedding day.
