🇯🇵🇫🇯 Strengthening Fiji–Japan Partnership at Dreketi Mill

It was a great honour to welcome His Excellency, the Ambassador of Japan, to Dreketi Mill.

The visit was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the longstanding partnership between Fiji and Japan. The initial establishment of the mill in 1970 was supported through funding from the Government of Japan, laying an important foundation for the development of the mill and its contribution to the local community.

We are grateful for this enduring partnership and look forward to exploring new opportunities for collaboration and future development between Fiji's Rice Industry and Goverment of Japan.

Fiji Rice was proud to be part of the **National Agriculture Show held in Labasa**, celebrating Fiji’s agricultural sector, our hardworking farmers, and the many organisations contributing to the growth and development of agriculture in our nation.

We were also honoured that **FRL was one of the sponsors of this important event**, supporting an initiative that brings together farmers, industry stakeholders, communities, and government agencies.

FRL is proud to be a sponsor partner and to be part of the 2026 National Agriculture Show, being held at Subrail Park, Labasa, from 15–17 September 2026, under the theme:

“Green Growth: Golden Gains – Advancing Agriculture Through Innovation, Diversification, Value Addition for a Resilient and Prosperous Fiji.”

Today, Chief Executive Officer, Mukesh Kumar joined a panel discussion, sharing insights on the role of Fiji Rice Limited in Fiji’s agriculture sector and creating opportunities for farmers to grow more local rice.
