Could we drive around the remote roads of northern Lapland without encountering ? Of e not! These very cute and placid animals are ubiquitous and seem to have a preference for walking along human roads... 😅 Have you ever met any?

And since it was a road trip, there must be road and plenty of it, and so it was. From the church town of Salla I went first NE until past Kelloselkä, then North towards Saija, turning right for Naruska and finally always straight along the Naruskajoki until I reached Kullajärvi. It's 82 kms of snowy roads, forests and small farms all over. Gorgeous!
