Spring and running just hit differently every year. Despite the pollen, allergies, and slower pace, it is still my favorite season. There is something about spring that puts my mind at ease and gives me that itch to sign up for races I have not even planned yet. Let’s manifest a warm spring. Summer is just around the corner. 😎

You guys asked for a saveable version of my Breakfast pita, so here it is. 😇

Today it looked like this, but in a few days it might be something completely different. That’s kin of the whole point. 🤓

Take a leftover pita bread, add a good source of protein (cottage cheese) and throw in something fresh to keep it light, especially since this is my second breakfast.

These thoughts have been part of my marathon recovery for the past three weeks, and I wanted to share them with you.

I’ve noticed myself being quite tough on my body and mind during this time. My body takes longer to recover than a lot of people’s, and there are many reasons for that, none of them are bad things.

I’m still relatively new to training consistently, and I’m learning step by step what it means to recover properly, be kinder to myself, and train in a way that supports longevity, not by always pushing past my limits.
