Two months of Luca 🎉

We threw a launch party for our AI CFO. Worth it.

Luca went live exactly two months ago. Since then he has been watching entrepreneurs' numbers and explained in plain language what is actually happening with the money. And because Luca is an AI-agent, it has had to work as well; create and send invoices, edit and accept accounting events and a lot more.

Meet Ilmari, who joined us in late May in Business Development and Customer Success. Ilmari helps our customers navigate their daily accounting and software challenges while building tools to make everyone’s workflow smoother.

With a background in accounting and finance from , Ilmari’s passion for startups started at . After a pizza lunch with Timmy and Tomas, he joined our team, and he’s been a great addition. He loves seeing a wide range of businesses and working closely with founders to find solutions. A highlight so far was running our booth at ARCTIC15 alongside Tomas.

Outside the office, Ilmari is an avid runner who just completed his first marathon. When he isn’t running, you’ll find him catching up on AI trends, “vibecoding” personal projects, or curating themed Spotify playlists.

A fun fact? He can dunk a basketball and once dreamed of being a professional Mario Kart game tester.

Meet Fahim, our Fullstack and AI developer and the latest addition to our tech team.

Fahim joined us in January after moving to Finland from Bangladesh to complete his Master’s in Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu. His day-to-day work involves a mix of planning, designing, and implementing new features, alongside bug fixing and team collaboration. He has realized that efficient development nowadays is often more about thoughtful architecture and testing than manual coding.

What he loves most is the direct impact his work has on our users. It feels great for him to know the product solves real problems and makes people’s daily workflows easier.

Outside the office, you will likely find him running or walking in the forest. He enjoys relaxing on weekends with movies, series, or audiobooks. He even recently finished The Odyssey. In addition, he is a strong candidate to win the next NoCFO table tennis tournament.

Arctic15 day 1 ✅

Timmy, Tomas ja Ilmari pyörivät Kaapelitehtaan käytävilla Arctic15:ssä törmäillen samalla enemmän tai vähemmän tarkoituksella muihin foundereihin, sijoittajiin ja pienyrityksiin.

Kesäkausi on nyt virallisesti avattu! Vietettiin pari päivää Turussa kesäpäivillä, ja meillä oli todella hauskaa 🌞

Tekoäly pyöri keskeisenä aiheena koko tapahtuman aikana, joka luonnollisesti aiheutti aika paljon liikennettä meidän ständille. Oli myös ihanaa nähdä niin paljon kiinnostusta Lucaa kohtaan!

Tuntuu, että ala on oikeasti heräämässä siihen, mitä tekoäly taloushallinnossa tarkoittaa käytännössä. Tilitoimistojen kanssa syntyi aitoja keskusteluja siitä, mitä tekoäly käytännössä tarkoittaa heidän asiakkailleen, ja mikä meidän rooli siinä on 🤝

Kesäpäivällä törmättiin myös vanhoihin ystäviin, pelattiin golfia (yllätys yllätys), ja illalliselle pukeutuminen astetta siistimmin kuin startupin normiarki vaatii osoittautui ihan kivaksi vaihteluksi 🎩

Meet Md, one of our AI/full-stack Developers and one of the main people behind Luca, our AI CFO feature that we just launched.
The curiosity that led him here started in 2012 with his first Android phone: rooting it, flashing custom ROMs, trying to understand how everything worked. That led to programming, and more than a decade later he’s still doing the same thing, just with AI systems instead of Android phones.

Before NoCFO he worked as an R&D Engineer on robotics and drone mapping, and in 2020 founded an AI-enabled EdTech startup before AI was something everyone was talking about. It didn’t make it financially, but he’d tell you it taught him more than a successful one would have.

The thing he cares most about isn’t making the AI impressive. It’s making it reliable, especially in a financial product, where getting it wrong actually matters.

Outside work, he codes. Side projects, trading experiments, new tools to stress-test. ”Coding is both my work and my hobby — which is probably not the healthiest answer, but it’s the honest one” 💻
