🏍️💛 Bringing care closer to mothers

Yesterday, September 3, 2026, a team from Eezer Sweden, together with Elnet Foundation’s Eezer Coordinator, visited Dendo Duguna Health Center in Wolaita Zone to witness the lounching of the Eezer Motorcycle Ambulance (EMCA) service.

In just 15 days, 10 pregnant mothers have been transported for skilled delivery, all of them safely delivering and returning home with their babies. 👶🏽🌱

The community and local officials warmly welcomed the guests and expressed their appreciation for the service helping overcome distance in this remote area.

Through Elnet Foundation and ACSIS, with Eezer Sweden providing financial and technical support, EMCA is helping bring maternal care closer to rural communities. 💛🏍️

🏍️💛 The journey continues: bringing life-saving care closer

On August 19 and 20, 2026, the Eezer Motorcycle Ambulance (EMCA) launching workshop and training were successfully held in S**o Town, Wolaita Zone.

Zone and Woreda Health Office heads, health professionals, and community representatives joined the workshop and field visit to Abaya Chokare Health Center, showing strong commitment and appreciation for EMCA. 🌱

Both selected health centers have no ambulances. Abaya Chokare relies on an ambulance 24 km away, while Dendo Duguna relies on ambulance 40 km away making timely emergency transport a significant challenge for their wide and remote catchment areas.

This continued work is made possible through Elnet Foundation in collaboration with ACSIS, with Eezer Sweden providing technical support and serving as a donor for the initiative.

🏍️💛 Bringing life-saving care closer

On August 12, 2026, the Eezer Motorcycle Ambulance was successfully launched in Aseliso Rural Cluster, Dire Dawa, followed by training for drivers, coordinators, and health professionals on August 13. Designed to serve pregnant mothers and infants, the initiative is helping bring timely emergency transport closer to rural families.

The launch was facilitated by Elnet Foundation in collaboration with the Dire Dawa Development Association, with Eezer Sweden providing technical support and serving as a donor for the initiative. Together with key government and community stakeholders, the partners are working to make this life-saving service a sustainable reality.

Aseliso is also the second historic site in Ethiopia to launch the Eezer Motorcycle Ambulance.

In partnership with the Dire Dawa Development Association, Elnet Foundation provided clothing, food, and hygiene supplies to children at a care center in Dire Dawa.

🥜🥛 Continuing care, nourishing young lives 💛

Building on our recent acts of support, peanut butter and milk were distributed to children in need at Daleti prison, continuing a simple yet meaningful effort to provide nourishment and care.

These contributions go beyond food; they help children stay healthy, focused, and hopeful in their daily lives. Each step we take reflects a continued commitment to stand alongside vulnerable children with compassion and consistency. 🌿

🌱💛 Planting hope, nurturing tomorrow

Kilinto and Korea Primary Schools were delighted to receive 700 tree seedlings including 300 avocado, 100 guava, and 300 Grevillea a thoughtful contribution toward creating greener and more supportive learning environments.

These seedlings are more than just numbers; they represent a shared commitment to student wellbeing, environmental care, and a future where schools continue to grow alongside the children they serve.

🍽️💛 Celebrating impact, inspiring continuity

The Guguba Primary School Phase II School Feeding Project in Dire Dawa has been successfully concluded on the 7th of July, 2026, marking a year of meaningful support.

Throughout the academic year, 500 children received nutritious daily breakfasts, contributing to improved attendance, reduced dropout rates, and better academic performance. The initiative was widely recognized as a model school feeding program, demonstrating how consistent nutritional support can strengthen both learning and wellbeing.

As we celebrate these achievements, there is a shared commitment to sustain and expand this life-changing program through stronger partnerships and local resource mobilization ensuring continued support for vulnerable children in the years ahead. 🌿

👕💛 Supporting Dignity Through Compassion 🌿

Clothing and shoes are more than everyday necessities as they provide warmth, protection, and a sense of dignity. This week, Elnet Foundation distributed donated clothes and shoes in Lideta sub-city to 45 vulnerable children and adults who lives on the street, offering practical support and a simple expression of care in the shape of 135 clothing items.

Each item shared carried more than material value it offered encouragement and a reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen and supported.

With the continued support of our partners and community, we remain committed to contributing, in small but meaningful ways, to the wellbeing and dignity of those who need it most. 🌿💛

👗💛 Empowering women, transforming lives

Building on stories from the Dire Dawa Women Economic Empowerment Project, Bedria Mohammed is creating a path toward independence and stability.

Once reliant on her husband’s limited income, Bedria began her journey with training, seed funding, and determination. Starting small, she expanded her clothing business and reached more customers across her community.

Today, she has tripled her income from 1,000 birr to 3,000 birr and is actively supporting her family with confidence. 🌿This journey reflects more than financial growth it is about dignity, resilience, and the power of opportunity.
