Our beautiful Victor is on route ♥️ doing well, considering he is a very very shy boy.

As you can see.. safety is super important. He is travelling with slip lead, martingale collar and 3-point safety harness. No cutting corners!

Not long now Victor!! 💪

And he is ON HIS WAY!

Victor did super well in the car (not frozen, just relaxed and taking it all in)

When we arrived at the pick up point, he met transportmummy Linda and then decided he would just get in the van and into one of the super large kennels.

In a moment of ignoring him… he took the chance to eat some of his food. Like there was no worry in his world.

He either is a complete ass that fooled me for 2 years… or we made good progress the past 2 months. I am betting on the last option 😜

Travel safe my big friend, I will miss our daily walks. But Afke will take your life to the next level, and you so deserve that!

Stunning, relaxed Rayo urgently needs a home! He is an older boy, without need for very long walks. He would need a home with loving people, preferably no dogs. No experience with the breed needed. Rayo has been attacked in his old home by the other dogs of his pack. That is why we would prefer a stressfree (dog free) home. He is not reactive at all (no worries when walking him, he behaves well), but has been traumatised by this.

Rayo is 9 years old, healthy, chipped, castrated, vaccinated.

February 2024 (photo)… Victor was one of the untouchables, left by a rescuer/volunteer, and would run of when we came to close. When he was left in our care, we didn’t even knew he was there.. he hid for days!!

In 2025, I finally got him in a corner (our plot is huuuge) and we got a lead on ♥️ He went into foster home but came back after a few weeks. The step was just too huge and too quick, despite the efforts of both foster daddies.

But now, in 2026, he is ready!! A loving home has been found for our boy, and tomorrow he will travel with Linda’s transport to the Netherlands. Linda knows he is very special and he had to wait until the best van and route was available.

Finally.. it is time for goodbye. A goodbye of the good kind, but nevertheless a bit of a heartbreaker…

Back open! Remember… Monday night is bingo night!! This Monday for Tanamera Rescue, but always a different charity ♥️ What a great initiative! And good fun!

The oldest and the youngest.
A difference of 14 years!! 15 and 1 year old.
We are blessed to have Annie, the sweetest dog on this earth. And blessed with every day that Marley is still with us ♥️ He still is the master of the house and packleader… even when we have to help him out of his bed most days! So strong! 💪

Some photos make you question why you fell in love with the galgo breed 😝 One seems to have just died in peace, the other is pretending to be a wild boar, just been runover by a car….

Believe me, you don’t want an encounter with them in the dark lol

Not really! Meet Rajah. He is the (other) love of my life. I adopted him some years ago without having met him, from another shelter. Because love just happens. And nope, he is not a galgo, or podenco either. He is a crossbreed. And to me, the most handsome boy on the planet. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ♥️
