Design Policy Conference

Gracias a todas las personas que asistieron, público y ponentes, por participar a este congreso único. Han sido tres intensos días que nos dejan muchas ideas para la reflexión.

Thanks to all the people who attended, both public and speakers, for being part of this unique conference. It has been three intense days that leave us with many ideas for reflection.

End of the Conference with Leyla Acaroglu provocateur of sustainability. A great denouement for two days talking around design policies: "design as a language to help people to change and a tool to transform the world and solve the problems we have created ourselves."

We have finished Panel V on Design awareness can we make it meinstream? with speakers Päivi Tahkokallio, Brandon Gienand Alok Nandi with very interesting reflections on the role of design and people's perception of what design is and how we integrate it. We keep Brandon's words: "People have to understand how design can help in their work sector".

We ended the afternoon with Panel IV and and René Spitz talking about education and design.

Panel III, Rethinking Design for Social Change was amazing with Ezio Manzini and Brigite Borja de Mozota. According to Ezio “rethinking design is rethinking what we do as human beings” according to Brigitte “designers love people and people love designers, I would like to include the hashtag ”.

We have finished Panel II, changing cities by design with Hanna Harris and Gisele Raulik Murphy.

We finished the Panel Discussion I where the speakers shared their reflections with the audience and answered questions. According to Bernard Hay "We must invest locally and integrate society, we must listen more and talk less".
