A hotel room is a temporary vessel for its guests’ memories.
The room exposes them, lays them bare, reflects them back to whoever inhabits it next.

Strange feelings surface: contemplation. devotion, call it a trance.

ROOM 411
For this British GQ cover story starring , we built a hotel room as a psychological space: part motel, part stage, part memory palace.

The AC buzzes loudly, the dusty, stained lilac carpet bears the marks of old furniture dragged across the room.
A pink sunset, melancholic byproduct of a polluted city, pushes against the broken blinds.

During production, we kept asking each other: what if the walls remember what happened in there?
Our process usually starts with building the world first then allowing the story to organically take shape inside those conditions.

TIFOSI: a special World Cup cover story for Circle Zero Eight.

In Italian, tifosi means fans or supporters. The word comes from tifo, a kind of fever.

For this story, we channelled the feverish excitement of football fandom and the creative ways fans show up for their team. We were drawn to the idea of ritual, and to the way symbols carried on the body can become gestures of devotion, identity and good luck.
